Just got back from taking the folks and my Sweetie to see Oliver at the Stratford Festival. The production was good, though not great (Colm Feore, playing Fagin, was the standout, as expected) but probably the most fun thing about the performance was what my Sweetie said after the cast had taken their curtain calls.
Sweetie: So, how about Oliver as a Professionals AU? Bodie as the Artful Dodger, Doyle as Oliver and Cowley as Fagin.
Me: That's, that's... wow, that could almost work. You are truly evil.
Sweetie: Heh.
If anyone wants to write that, I'll totally read it. Though we're still arguing about who would best fit the Dodger/Oliver roles.
