Take That and Travel

Today I found out that an Irish ex-pat co-worker is also a huge Take That fan. Of the sort that had a Take That bedspread and cried when they first broke up. There might have been work inappropriate squealing in my work space. *g*

At the moment I'm sitting in an airport limo on the way to Florida with Ros and the Sweetie. Things have been so crazy at work and home that even the frenzy of Disney World sounds relaxing.

Ya know, I like Disney fine (there's a big admission) but it's not what you'd call a restful vacation. But it's way restful compared to the combination of work, skating show, professional course, and various other Ros activities I've had on my plate in the last month.

And hey, we've had a great first day at Disney that ended with a moonlight swim in a lovely warm pool, so it's all good.

It's extra fun because I'd been deliberately avoiding mentioning TT in front of this particular co-worker on the grounds that she was young and cool and would mock my TT love. That she instead shares it is a fab thing.

Airport limos are just slight fancier taxis that only go to the airport and hence are slightly cheaper than regular taxis. But it's a wee bit of a luxury.

I was roundly mocked by the only other ex-pat co-worker I mentioned TT to, so finding a fellow fan was a huge delight.

We are so far having a great time, even with the slightly hectic pace you need to set at Disney.

Oh! Do you know, I had visions of actual stretch limos. We do have a few of them around here which are used for taking large parties somewhere. They look very low and uncomfortable, actually, but the bright pink one which took hen nights out seemed to be very popular.

Luxury on holidays is good!
