I gamely stuck out the full first season of Copper, though by the end I was fast forwarding through everything except the storyline with the little girl former prostitute because that storyline was such a train wreck I couldn't look away. And no, there certainly wasn't anyone to root for in that show.

I'm with you liking all the main characters in Ripper Street. Looking forward to seeing more of all their back stories. There's only been intriguing bits so far.
