So, I just got an email that seemed to suggest that someone posted my vid site password on the Prosslash list after I put the password for one day only on the discoveredinalj comm for my contributing vid.

Since I'm not a member of said list, I'm wondering if anyone on the flist can anyone confirm or deny this? And give me contact info for the list mod to see if I can have that particular post removed.

'Cause I've password protected the vids for a reason, namely that I don't fancy being detained by U.S. Customs at the border or otherwise facing any legal action for my freaking hobby ever again. (Anyone remember this post?) And yeah, I totally should have posted a warning on the post that it should not be posted anywhere outside the community. (The password is now gone from the post and the warning is up.)

And really, this is one more thing that I did not need to happen today.

ETA: Mystery solved. Things are not so dire as I feared, though I still won't be putting the password up on any forums again.

Today pretty much sucks. (Details to follow, though probably not till tomorrow.)

I generally shouldn't drink alcohol, but I may just make the exception and have a nice single malt when I see you. (Scotch is the last form of alcohol that doesn't seem to make me sick or give me allergies. As long as I don't drink too much, anyway.)

this is what was and is still posted by byslantedlight just alerting folks to the link to the lj entry so only those who clicked on the link to the entry would have seen your password...no mention what so ever that it was a vid or a story etc...hope this helps!

I have d/l the vid, btw but not actually had chance to watch it properly yet - the kids wanted to see it too. Can't appreciate fine art that way *g*

I'm glad it was only a misunderstanding. And I'd love to hear what you think, once you've had a chance to watch. (And ya know, there's not really anything in there the kids might have trouble with. Though it is a bit of a broody vid.)

No, I'm quite happy for the kids to watch it. I agree there's nothing in there that they shouldn't see and any brooding will just go right over their heads. They viewed it with me yesterday staight after I downloaded it. I just can't see the screen on my laptop for their heads getting in the way (because kids automatically have priority over mummy's toys, you know grrr) *g*

I love your vids, and I will let you know what I think when I have seen it properly (on my own).
