Pros Slash Proliferation Challenge, Day Six

Second last day, and my second last fannish post for a while.

For this post, I've stuck with composition again. In going through all the various screen captures I've accumulated and made over the years, I started noticing how many lovely ones there are with one of the lads shot just behind the other one. Like this one from Backtrack, with them both in black leather catman gear.

From In the Public Interest, comes this shot, with Bodie and Doyle peering out the window at the bent policemen coming to get them. This is just a few seconds before they're on the run for their lives, and it's a lovely intense moment between the two of them.

A slightly less fraught image, this one from The Purging of CI5, when they're peering down the manhole, interrogating the GPO bloke. I love the half smile on Doyle's face here, with broody Bodie behind, backing him up.

Next up, Killer with a Long Arm and Bodie getting nice and close to Doyle to look at a clue. I'm always waiting for Bodie to nibble on Ray's ear during this scene. (Now there's a nice thought. *g*)

Back to Female Factor, and Doyle smashing in the window whilst Bodie stands guard. Bodie's not keen on the idea, but you just know he'll support Doyle all the way. Even if Cowley gives them a right bollocking.

The last bit is going to be a whole set of images from Mixed Doubles. Because that's one of my very favourite episodes, and it's so chock full of lovely scenes with the two of them.

First up, Bodie and Doyle have the dum dum conversation. Bodie's unrepentent about wanting to do whatever's necessary to take their opposite numbers down. Doyle is hampered by his moral streak. And they both look quite stunning as they argue ethics. (The definition on Doyle's arms is just stunning here. Not that I'm shallow or anything.)

The sleeping bag scene, and Bodie avoiding the question of why he's stuck with CI5. Or maybe it really is the money. Either way, he looks a right imp during this bit. Oh, and another nice look at Doyle's arm.

Macklin's just cut up Bodie and then thrown the knife at Doyle. Doyle's clearly narked off at Macklin for hurting his boyfriend, um, I mean partner. And Bodie looks equally concerned that Doyle's facing off with Macklin next. (And yet more arm pron from Doyle.)

Okay, this picture doesn't fit the theme, I just like it. Doyle leaning in to Bodie for support. Awww.

And one last shot from Mixed Doubles, just for the heck of it. On the shooting range, Doyle poses and Bodie looks smug. And look at Doyle's bicep! Not to mention we also get a rare view of Bodie's bare arms too. Phwooaar!

In the dum dum pic, you can see Bodie's lashes really clearly, but all these pics are quite quite gorgeous, and thanks for sharing them - after a long busy day at work, there is nothing like the lads for cheering you up :-))

Bodie's lashes are a fine, fine thing. Glad the lads cheered you up.

Wonderful collection! I love the "In the Public Interest" one, not only for the intensity, but also because it is less well-known than the others. Of course, then there's the less well-known "Mixed Doubles" one at the end...just, um, look at those bodies.... *g* Thank you!

I found that last Mixed Doubles one quite by accident. I was trolling through the episode, looking for something else, and caught a flash of that scene. I watched it through for the guns. I watched it again for Doyle's arms. And Bodie's. And yeah, they were in fine, fine shape for that ep, weren't they?

The first picture -- well, it doesn't actually look like one of those romance covers with heroine in foreground and hero lurking in background -- hero usually looks somewhat dark-avisaged and heroine generally a bit sappy -- but...

As for Mixed Doubles, I seem to have a kink for those sleeveless tops on men, and D wearing one -- wow!

The thought of the lads on a romance cover put a smile on my face.

And yeah, any time Doyle gets to show off those arms is okay with me.

*Happy sigh*

Thank you!

You're welcome. *g*

Martin Shaw's arms in Mixed Doubles are just...mrowwwrrrrrr. Yikes! Good stuff. You captured some lovely doubles shots overall. Thanks very much for sharing this.

I swear there wasn't an ounce of fat on Shaw in those days. He was all bone, sinew and muscle. Mrowwwrrrr, indeed.

I love the ear-nibbling pic! It makes me wonder, if their upper bodies were so closely and cosily snuggled up together, what would a full-length shot have looked like? And where were Bodie's hands? I can only dream ... They are inspiringly together in these - thank you!

On a less reverent note, though - they both sometimes do that bloke thing of folding their arms with each hand tucked under the opposite bicep that just happens coincidentally to emphasise defininition .... always makes me smile!
