We Have Tickets!

With remarkably little fuss, I managed to get LotR Trilogy tickets for myself and three of my craziest friends. My long-suffering partner, who assisted/enabled the purchase by checking theOneRing.net when I was away from my computer, has decided he isn't quite up to the eleven hour marathon, so the two of us will be taking in individual shows of the extended editions before Trilogy Tuesday.

And for anyone else in Toronto, I just checked www.movietickets.com and it looks like tickets are still available at all theatres in the GTA.

Whee!! Go you :) You'll have to be sure to let me know how amazing the extended versions were on the big screen!

And you'll have to let me know when you're up for a second viewing of ROTK. I'd definitely make the trek up to Newmarket to see it with you.

Had it not been for this post, I would probably have let the idea of driving from Seattle to Vancouver for Trilogy Tuesday go.

Instead, I woke up my husband, asked if he might want to go, and a half-hour conversation ensued, in which it was agreed that we would use this as an excuse to go to Vancouver and take a short vacation. :)

eeeee!

Thank you!

Go you! I'm now doubly happy I posted. And you get to spend time in Vancouver. (I love Vancouver. My partner's sister lives in the Kitsilano neighbourhood.)

Hmm. If only I'd been able to offer my partner the prospect of a vacation in Vancouver as incentive to see the Trilogy, he might have actually gone for it. We both jumped at a weekend in NYC when the NY film fest was involved.
