Things Are, Mostly, Looking Up
The pestilence seems to have abated.
After looking like death on a stick last night, the Sweetie is up and about and looking almost perky. (He still has a wee fever, but it's pretty mild.)
Ros had yet another heinous coughing jag last night, at almost exactly 4 a.m. (you can set a clock by her), and after calming her down and then spending yet another uncomfortable two hours sleeping on her floor, I hied her to the doctor this morning. The verdict is she's fine, there's no sign of infection, asthma or anything else nasty, and the cough is just a remnant of a virus she's picked up that we're going to have to wait out. Here's hoping it doesn't take too long. (Fortunately she's pretty much fine during the day.)
I, however, hit a wall of exhaustion today. Which comes when you've had two and a half days of looking after a crazy busy 3 year old and a very sick Sweetie, and five nights running of interrupted sleep. I could not force myself out of bed when the alarm went off at 6. I barely managed to lever myself up at 7:30 to start getting Ros ready for daycare. (I'd fortunately booked today as a work at home day.) I got Ros to the doctor, futzed around with some admin. stuff, and passed out on the couch for an hour at 3. I think I'm over the worst. Or will be, if I actually manage to get to bed early some time this week.
(Why, oh why, did I pick now to finally start vidding again? Ah well, at least I'm making progress. And I know from experience that while I can't write, I can vid when I'm a brain dead zombie.)

Everyone's pretty much over the worst of the pestilence, though now the Sweetie is convinced I'm doomed to go down next. (I'm taking the optimistic view that I've dodged the bullet.)

I do hope everyone gets well soon and you can get back to nights filled with sleep.

I totally gotta keep vidding. 'Cause when I'm done with the Batman vid, next up is Supernatural! (Look how that icon deftly comments on that last sentence. *g*)

Now I just need to get to bed early a few nights in a row, and not stay up late, vidding. (But vidding is so much fun...)
I totally need a sleepy Doyle icon.

Fandom at your service. *g*
The lovely ND also made Doyle versions from the episode and you can find them HERE (http://community.livejournal.com/the_safehouse/443164.html). *g*

Shall have to check 'em out from home tonight. And in the meantime, thanks!
