Had a great Hallowe'en. Ros informed me months ago she wanted to be a tiger, and I finally found a tiger costume two weeks ago. (Go Value Village.) The Sweetie carved a lovely pumpkin. And we had a great time taking Ros out trick or treating with one of her friends from around the corner. (After the first ten houses, she even started going up to the doors by herself. And any time I'd ask if she remembered to say thank you, she'd give me a frustrated "I already did.")

Here's a few pics.

The Sweetie's pumpkin, which turned out not too badly. (He panicked when Ros picked out the most complicated stencil in our pumpkin carving kit.) The pumpkin was made further shades of awesome by the fact that our cat spent most of the evening in the window behind the pumpkin, looking like a real live Hallowe'en cat.

Here's Ros, roaring after I got her makeup on.

The Rozzy tiger, returning to her lair after gathering her spoils. She was dead tired, but insisted on staying up to help hand out candy. And hanging with her buddy Peter, next door. (Peter is the very nice gay man next door that Ros has a total crush on. I find this adorable.)

When I was putting her makeup on, Ros insisted I put it on myself. Here are the results. (It's a crappy picture, but the other ones the Sweetie took were even worse. I seem utterly incapable of keeping my eyes open for flash photography anymore.)

Hee! How totally adorable. Glad everyone is feeling better and Halloween was a big success. I love your pumpkin! Please give Don my sincerest praise. It looks way cool.

How is this week looking for you? Do you think you may be up for some vid beta-ing at some point? Sheila's Christmas gift is moving along nicely (she says, knocking on wood so as not to jinx herself). My aim is to have it done before the weekend. We'll see how that goes. I'm my usual amount of busy this week, but I always have beta time for you. Just let me know when the vid is done and I'm on it.

Oh, awesome! Thank you. I'm at the halfway point (2:30 in a 5:00 song). But it's been going *reasonably* quickly. I've been able to bang out :30-1:30 a night the last few nights. So I'm hopeful I can have something before next weekend.

I'm two weeks away from surgery and this, another vid and a Xmas story are all on my plate between now and the new year. I want to stay on track. :-)

How are you going with the pre-surgical appointments? Do you want the Zed's Advice on a Hysterectomy email yet?

I'm fond of the Ros in her lair pic. She was exhausted, but determined.

That pumpkin is awesome! Halloween isn't traditionally celebrated here (although trick-or-treating seems to be catching on)so the whole carving-of-pumpkins thingy is quite outside my experience. It looks very intricate.

Let's just say, I didn't protest too much. But next time I will tie back my hair. Long hair stuck in gooey makeup is no fun at all.

She was definitely an adorable tiger. Hallowe'en was too much fun. (It was always my favourite holiday as a kid.)

Totally impressed with all of you. The pumpkin is *amazing*. Wow, such intricate cuts the Sweetie did there! Ros looks beyond adorable - not fierce at all, mind. Her roar just makes me want to pick her up and squish her.

You guys are the cutest Halloween family ever! Ros is adorable, mom is adorable, and dad is amazingly talented with that pumpkin carving! I could not even hand out candy this year because my entry way was all torn up by the water abatement team after my leaky pipe, so I missed out. First year ever I have not handed out candy on Halloween! So sad. I will have to make up for it next year.

Ros's tiger does run to more adorable than fierce. I frequently end up squishing her, just for fun. (Got to do it while she won't object.)
