wrisomifu Update, and Yuletide
I managed half an hour of writing yesterday afternoon, was planning on doing more last night, but ultimately didn't even have the time or energy to post my update.

Yes, that's a minus. That comes of finishing a scene and deleting all the writing notes i had stuck at the end of the sucker. (See that icon? Yep, that's how I feel.)
In other news, I signed up for
yuletide last night. I was going to be strategic. I created a spreadsheet, and was going to only request fandoms with a reasonable number of offers, then decided what the heck, I'll request the stories I'd really, really like, check back next week, and if no one else has offered those fandoms I'll go with some second choices.
I also ended up offering a whole bunch of fandoms. Shows and movies I love, with not too much source, that I can see writing something for. Someone actually nominated To Live and Die in L.A.! I love that movie! I could totally write 1000 words in that universe. (This Yuletide thing is kinda fun. If also terrifying.)

Oooh you're so brave. *high fives you*
I'm still running scared from the Ficathon and will not be signing up for/taking part in anything for, I dunno, the next five years.

After this, it'll likely be five years before I am quite so foolish again.

Just reading that line kicked off the soundtrack in my head.

Wang Chung, FTW! (I clearly need to rip the soundtrack right now.)

I used to love in the late 1980s early 1990s when CityPulse used the soundtrack as background music to the sports recaps on the nightly news. I could care less who the Argos lost to, but the beat was great.
I have to go dig my soundtrack out.
