Done and Dusted!
The first draft of the Holmes vid is DONE!
Last night went something like this:
Me: Damn. I've got 7 seconds that I just can't find footage for.
Sweetie: ::non-verbal equivalent of "That's nice dear."::
(twenty minutes later)
Me: I'm done!
Sweetie: Done? You mean you're done that 7 seconds.
Me: No, I'm done the vid.
Sweetie: The vid!? O_O
He had reason to be skeptical. It's been years since I've finished a vid this quickly. (What can I say? Holmes and Watson are...inspiring.)
Now I'm just waiting for beta comments before I tweak the colour and add an effect or two.

I'm going to try the idea I mentioned. But I also want to try and lighten up all those bloody dark shots so they're a bit more legible.

The colour correcting worked. The sepia idea never quite did. But I have a complete, tweaked, and encoded version.
Which unfortunately is going to have to wait until tomorrow for uploading and posting, for now I must collapse in a heap. (Getting up at 6 to hit the big farmer's market seemed like such a good idea this morning.)

6:00am: Get up for farmer's market
9:00am: Ballet lessons for Ros
10:45am: Mandarin lessons for whole family
Early Afternoon: Massive housework whilst Ros naps
3:30pm: Play date with friend of Ros (and reason for massive housework)
6:00pm: Skating, which ended with me getting pulled down to ice by Ros and leading with my cheekbone; was rescued by rink guards
7:00pm: Dinner out with another friend of Ros and her family
It's no bleeding wonder I'm ready to drop.
11:00am for brunch sounds eminently civilized.

Yes, 11:00am brunch in which I'll skip the Buck's Fizz and the Bloody Marys and go straight to the blood orange margaritas. Well, someone has to do it. *g*
