Yesterday, I booked my flight to New York City to see a-ha.


Today, I got these in the mail:


There was much dancing in the Zed household, I can tell you.

So to celebrate the fact that I am really, truly, finally going to get to see a-ha, have a Morten Harket pic spam on me...


Morten back in the day, looking rather fine. Let us contemplate those abs, shall we. Not to mention those cheekbones.


A more recent pic. (From 2007, which is the most recent I could find. I love a-ha, but man, they're paranoid about locking down any images of themselves.) He's still looking fine. Possibly even better than he was as a young man, because I do love a guy with some mileage on him. Plus, he's grown into that facial structure nicely.


And just for fun, a couple more. I'd put this in the early 2000s, if I had to guess.

That's a definite possibility. I'm waiting to hear from one of my best mates from grad school. Since I rarely get to see him, I'm giving him first dibs on scheduling, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out when we're meeting.

Oh cripes - I used to love A-Ha. And I was in love with Morten. Damn he still looks good! As you said - even better than when he was a whippersnapper - yum! You're going to have such a good time :D

Ya know, as much as I love their older music (The Sun Always Shines on TV remains a fave) I think their newer stuff is even better. You should totally try some of their newer songs. In fact, here, how about a live version of possibly my all-time favourite song of theirs:

I reckon I'm going to be far back in NYC, seeing as it's a general admission show, and I'm too old too stand in line for hours. But I'm sixth row centre in Toronto, and that should be awesome. (I'm dying to see what seats I got for Wembley, but since that show isn't till November, it'll likely be months before the fan club mails those ones out. It's nice to be able to buy the pre-sale, but not knowing where the seats are is killing me ded.)
