I seem to somehow be living in a country that has just elected a Conservative majority.

What the hell, people? I mean, just what the hell? The Conservatives lying, being in contempt of Parliament, not allowing anyone but the party faithful from attending rallies, and just generally doing heinous thing after heinous thing wasn't enough proof that their unworthy of holding seats, let alone ruling the bloody country?

At least my riding, and most of downtown Toronto, went firmly NDP.

I shall be spending the next four years with my head down.

I guess I thought so too. I figured if things got too bad down here, I could smuggle myself across the border and live in a yurt in your yard. What is with these nutjobs getting hold of the reins...something in the water?

The Conservatives have done more than enough to hang themselves this past session of Parliament, so I've got to figure it's some combination of people 1) not paying attention, 2) being dumb, 3) not recognizing Harper's evil!evilness.

If this keeps up, I may be living in a yurt in your yard. Or we both go down and hang with Paul in NZ.
