Oh. My. indeed, poor girl, how miserable she must be feeling.. (and you). Not quite the insight you'd expect from a doctor after your first visit! I hope she feels better soon and will maybe even be in good enough health for the camping trip.
At least she's mostly acting like she's okay, but then the coughing will just get to be too much, usually at the end of the day, and she'll lose it. I think that's what happened tonight, her body had just had enough of it all. But with the meds, I'm hoping she'll be totally on the mend by tomorrow.
Also, I hope I don't get it. (I've lost track of how many times she's coughed in my face as I've been holding her.)
Ah, I love to hear this! I mean about Ros getting better, not about you being totally exhausted. Hope you get a little rest soon, poor thing! *hugs big bear style*
Those hugs have definitely cheered me up! (They are the huggiest band ever!)
In spite of Ros having two more coughing jags last night, I think we're going to head out for camping this morning. (The coughing jags were much shorter and not quite as severe.) I'm hoping there will be some relaxing at the camp site. Plus, not so much rain. (There's thunderstorms in the forecast. Fingers crossed they're wrong.)
I do so hope she's better soon. I'll be offline from this afternoon for about a week so I hope to hear better news when I return. Meanwhile, don't reply because things will have changed so much by the time I get online again!
Urg. I've had pneumonia and have been at the cough and puke stage, but it's different if you're an adult and know you have to prepare with the right utensils for dealing with that. Poor Ros. I hope she's better really soon. And I look forward to meeting her in person!
Ros just gets to the point where she's crying with frustration at the coughing thing. Though to her credit, after the throwing up incident, she put a death grip on the stainless steel bowl we had in her room for just that purpose.
Here's hoping the meds work today. And it'll be great to see you soon!
BTW, I totally owe you an email, but you might say I've been a bit distracted. The new story is nearly at 9,000 words, so I may clean it up to send it today. There's still no need for a real beta on it yet, though.
Oh, poor wee thing :( Coughing is a really unpleasant symptom to have, it leaves you so tired. I hope she's brought up the worst of the gunk now and can get some rest.
Last night pretty much sucked--two more long coughing jags at midnight and 3 a.m., then a nosebleed in the morning--but she seems to be slowly getting better. She was sinking in the evening, but didn't have the crying freak out we've seen the last few days, so yay?
Now I just need to convince myself to go to bed early to recover from the sleep debt.
Nursing people is haaard. I hope for both your sakes the antibiotics really start doing their thing and she begins to feel much better, and you both catch up on sleep. I see above you've set off camping - I hope you have a better weekend ♥

I honestly don't know whether to try and write, watch some TV, or break out the scotch.

I'm glad she's getting some sleep though. Probably the best thing for her!

She actually fell asleep in a few minutes tonight. Yay!

Is it a cold? Or flu?
We tried a kids version of the neti pot when Paige gets post nasal drip and it helps to keep her from choking on her own snot and puking.

She's slowly getting better, but man, it pretty much sucks.

Much sympathy. [see icon]

She's doing much better now at least. I'm hoping tonight is my second night free of calming down a kid who's having a crazy awful coughing jag.
