Trope Bingo Update

The good news is I've just finished a first draft of my first [community profile] trope_bingo story. It's a whisker shy of 20,000 words.

The bad news is, if all the stories for the challenge end up this long, I'm never going to get a bingo on my card before the deadline.

I have only been jotting down on ideas, half-started something. Final uni reports got in the way. BUT NEXT WEEK. OH YES.

It's frightening, is what it is. Especially since when I started the story I thought it was going to be a couple of thousand words, tops.

My Circus AU seems to want to go into a creepy direction. I blame Said It All and that creepy massive ringleader from the Circus Tour.

Creepy can be interesting! Now I'm extra intrigued!

The trope is genderswap. Which I never thought I'd write in a million years, let alone get 20K words out of.

It was great fun, if occasionally frustrating and maddening. And once I got into it there was so much to deal with it had to get long.

Now it's all done but the edit, which for me is the fun part.

You've forgotten to mention that each and every single of the almost 20,000 words is super awesome!! *g*

Trust me, you'll find a way of keeping some of the other stories short! If nothing else helps, simply include The Barlow and boom! Less words! :P

I've already got ideas for two other stories to make a line on my bingo card, and neither of them should blow up to epic proportions. I hope. And neither includes The Barlow. You're so naughty!

I suppose you can get out of your silly costume. Though I have to say, now I'm having fun considering just what sort of silly costume it is. Clown costume? Relight costume? The possibilities are endless. *g* Those puppy eyes aren't going to help you.

Oh, it's a very flamboyant, very rich costume - it combines black, very tight PVC-trousers with a cropped mesh top, a sparkling codpiece, an even more sparkling golden coat, a big white whig and a sparkling red top hat. The coat is open, of course, because I'm not wearing anything underneath the mesh top. I've decided not to wear the pair of red shades with blue glasses and green feathers - I thought that would be a tad bit too much, if you know what I mean?? Now, how do I get out of those trousers...?? Ooooh, why not? Why?? They are really big, lovely, big, watery puppy eyes - not fair!
