Adoption Day, 2013

Six years ago today, Ros became a member of our family. Today we had a family dinner at Ros' favourite local bistro. And on the weekend we got together with another family from our travel group and their daughter. The other dad is a fantastic photographer, and sent us a few pics of Ros from the day.

I was going to put up some Ros through the years pics, but I already put up some of the best ones last year. So I'll just say we're lucky to have her in our family, and I cherish every day with her.

Oh my! So so pretty! I was taking a look at last year's pictures of her growing - I hate to quote my mum, but she's right here: "they grow so fast!" :)

Just wonderful! I'll never forget your post with the picture of her as a 6 months old child in the orphanage. She had such deeply saddened eyes back then... and now she is such a happy and powerful girl. Congratulations!

I can't believe it's been six years, either. (Or that you'd only just joined LJ then!) It feels like just yesterday, and it feels like forever, if that makes any sense. And adopting Ros is the best thing we've ever done.
