I tried signing up for
intoabar last year hoping it might kickstart my writing, but I got a truly terrible pairing that I probably couldn't have done anything with even if I hadn't been suffering from the worst writer's block I've ever experienced.
This year, I seem to have kicked the writer's block to the curb (I'm nearly done the epic fic I couldn't write a word of last year!) and I've realized that you can appeal a bad pairing for the challenge, so I'm going to give it a shot again.
Fingers crossed!

I think with IAB you have to kind of game it. I tried one year with a fave character and multiple fandoms, got a terrible pairing, tried the next year with the same character and one fandom, and got something great. Altho this year I signed up with two fandoms, haha, so maybe I just bit myself in the ass. (And not in the fun way.)

If something like that happens again, I’ll definitely appeal it.
I’m looking forward to writing something short and low risk because I’m about to start on what’s looking to be another looong story that’s going to take forever to research and write.

Thanks! Of course now that I’m writing again I have too many projects I’m keen to start.
