Until this summer, I would have sworn that I would never collaborate on a vid. I tend to work very much in the lone wolf mode: I'm not usually keen on discussing the meta of vidding and I'm a serious control freak who dislikes handing over the power of creative decision making to someone else.

But then I started corresponding with justacat. Only a bit at first, a few emails about posting my stories at the Circuit Archive. And then she volunteered to beta Forget Regret. Suddenly our email traffic exploded and I found that we shared a lot in common. Love of Pros and the lads, of course, but also opinions about vid aesthetics and taste in music. Not that our views were identical, just very compatible.

So, when she was looking to start vidding and lithiumdoll suggested she work with a collaborator, I jumped in with both feet and volunteered. It seemed the right thing to do. And I'm so very glad I did.

Our collaboration has been a joy from beginning to end. The whole process forced me to stretch and grow, to consider doing things in ways I'd never thought of. It compelled me to abandon all sense of ego, to not stick with a sequence because it was my idea, goddamnit, but to think about what was really best for the vid. And it was amazing to me how exhilarating it was when Justacat came up with a really great idea, which she did constantly.

I can't wait to do it all over again...

This vid is gorgeous! I´m sorry that I´m late with feedback- but here it is;)

I really like the beginning- all the different scenes with Bodie. As I didn´t know the song I had to watch a few times to get the lyrics, but you (well both of you actually) fit the lyrics very nicely to the scenes.

Thanks so much. Nice to hear you thought the clips worked nicely with the lyrics. A few of them had us pulling out our collective hair ("I feel like a seventh heir?" WTF) but we both were extremely happy with the results.

Okay, saw this at the BASCon vid show and *loved* it. The song is totally addictive. You picked the most perfect facial expressions and had excellent comedic timing. I don't know who is who, but I loved how the shorter haired one was just like "God, you're so obnoxious, why do I put up with you" the entire vid bt then they'd also laugh together and how the curly haired guy would just be so *cute* about it and sometimes even look a bit bashful because god, they are clearly *so in love* and this was the first vid I saw of the fandom that actually made me want to see the show. Usually I'm immediately offput by the source because it's just not my era -- I wasn't even born till the mid 80's, but this really gave me a sense of the characters personalities and I *like* them.

Holy run on sentences, Batman!

Wow. Thanks so much for this. First of all, because you totally got what we were aiming for with the vid. And second, for telling me it makes you want to watch the show. Because really, more fans in Pros is always a good thing. And last, because you like the lads!

And now you must get Morgan to show you episodes! (IMO, you should start with Hunter/Hunted. It's got some adorable stuff between the two of them. BTW, it's "Doyle with the coils.")
