Oh look, a meme

Because [livejournal.com profile] st_crispins tagged me:

Guilt
What is yours?
Explain yourself
Culinary: Dulce de Leche ice cream Mmmm, caramel
Literary: Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe novels They're formulaic as all get out, but since it's a formula that could have been designed expressly for me, I don't really care
Audiovisual: G.I. Jane Because I can watch Viggo Mortensen and Demi Moore pound the crap out of each other over and over again.
Musical: Rick Springfield Hey, it's supposed to be a guilt, right? What can I say? I still love Jesse's Girl and Human Touch. So, sue me.
Celebrity: Kurt Russell I'll never quite forgive him for making me see a dodgy film like Breakdown, but Escape from New York goes a long way to make up for it.

Now I tag:-

Geez, with the Sharpe books and Kurt Russell, I see we were, in fact, separated at birth.

Not to mention The Princess Bride and Metallica.

Cool.

First of all, I have no guilt about my pleasures. Yes. Vin Diesel as the next Bond. You're problem with that is...?

Second, I have no computer skills, at least not when it comes to lj. I carefully made up answers to all the questions and posted it to my lj and it totally showed up as html coding and I deleted it and now I'm grumpy.

Glad you had a great time and are safely home.

I'm with you on the guilt. Me have guilt? Nope. Well, except maybe the Rick Springfield thing.

Sorry about the posting stress. It was meant to be fun, not grumpiness-inducing.

BTW, guess what I've got Don watching? Yep, it's SGA! (Don after first commercial break: "This is rampantly mediocre." Don after the first ep: "This isn't so bad." Don midway through the second ep: "Okay, I'll watch this one, and maybe one other, but that's it." Don at the end of the second ep: "I don't need another show to watch." Heh.) We'll see how long he sticks with it.

"Rampantly mediocre" and "captivating and addictive" aren't necessarily mutually exclusive events. Take Sentinel for example. ::g::

SGA can be the centre of my universe for years to come without it having to be particularly good. BTW, we've (Lauren, Chris and I) been working our way through a bunch of David Hewlett stuff. I can only assume you and Don are DH fans because unlike most of the pretty boys we tend to obsess upon, DH can act!
Cheers,
~ g.

Yep, we're DH fans. (BTW, Don has given the thumbs up to the fan-coined work "adorkable," which is pretty unheard of since he more usually bitches about how silly fan terms are. Don't get him started on "fanon.")

Have you seen Nothing yet? We saw that one at the fest a couple of years ago, with Hewlett in attendance, and it's a lot of fun.
