Oh. Crap.

The [livejournal.com profile] picfor1000 prompts went up today.

And I am screwed.

Apart from crack!fic, anyone have any bright ideas for that one? (And I thought last year's prompt was bad.)

[identity profile] squeeful.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
I. DRINK. YOUR. MILKSHAKE!

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hee.

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:44 am (UTC)(link)

You could just concentrate on the clothing, as clothes are the prompt. The leather jacket and a (straw)cowboy hat should suggest a few different things. Of course, dodgy alcohol/cocktails would work for quite a few of your fandoms as well.

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
The leather jacket would be easy, but I'm having an actual physical aversion to that darn straw hat. It's clearly linked to a deeply buried childhood trauma. Or something.

Dodgy drinks are, however, a definite possibility.

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:52 am (UTC)(link)

You can't just think of it as a cowboy hat? It is a cowboy hat... or you could think straw boater instead.

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose I could just pretend it's a normal/non-hideous cowboy hat. Or this dodgy bloke could make a guest appearance in the story.

[identity profile] sc-fossil.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Burn the hat in effigy.

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
An entirely valid response to that hat.

I was thinking dodgy and/or dubious drink choices as well. Surely one of your boys could order something that color and be mocked by the other for it?

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:47 am (UTC)(link)

...or someone could get doped in a dodgy themed gay bar.

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Now that has some definitely possibilities...

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:53 am (UTC)(link)

I like to think so... *g*

Also, much as it breaks my Bodie & Doyle loving heart to even suggest this, wouldn't the character in that picture work really well in a Cas story?

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, jeezus, you're right. What are you trying to do? Drive me right into the arms of those SPN people?!!!

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:01 am (UTC)(link)

Well no, but I'm capable of putting fannish self-interest to one side for the sake of a mate ♥ and even given how little of SPN I've actually seen the bloke in that picture *really* does look like he belongs in that 'verse.

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Given that I've got three Cas icons, maybe I should try and write a story for the damn show. Hmmm.

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:15 am (UTC)(link)

Right then, this'll just be me hiding from the rest of the Pros fans. I hope the story turns out well. :D

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
I promise not to rat you out. Unless they threaten me with, you know, sarcasm.

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:23 am (UTC)(link)

Well that's highly unlikely to happen. Ahem...

[identity profile] sc-fossil.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, that's a great idea, and I don't even read SPN other than a drabble or two about Cas. Hmmmm.... It could work. I admit, I could see him dressed like this for some odd reason. He's trying it out since he's been watching Larry the Cable guy or some other creepy thing! LOL!

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I more see Cas running into a bloke wearing this than actually wearing it himself. (He's only going to be wearing the awesome trench coat on my watch. That or, you know, nothing. *g*)

[identity profile] norfolkdumpling.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
No argument from me unfortunately. Especially as I'm the person who got inexplicably peer-pressured (for that read, 'exposed in tantalising manner to about 300000000 gorgeous pictures of Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles on Tumblr and Twitter') into ordering the first series on DVD. It's on the way now. You can blame thank [livejournal.com profile] kimboosan and [livejournal.com profile] candesgirl. *sigh*

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)

I'm not a fan of the show, I gave up about half way in to the first season, which is why it's funny that I suggested this to Zed. Also, I don't think Misha Collins' character turns up until you're several seasons in... that's the impression I get at least from the reaction of a lot of Sam/Dean fans to there suddenly being a surge in Dean/Cas.

[identity profile] norfolkdumpling.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Misha pops up in series 4 I think, but you can't just start watching from there, so I thought I'd give it a go from the beginning. I don't know if I'll like it, and hells bells - that's some catching up to do, but I thought I'd have a looksee what all the fuss was about. Curious fangirl is curious. *g*

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)

Most of the people I know love it so there's a very good chance that you will too. You're way ahead of me anyway in that I'm sure the fact that I don't fancy any of them doesn't help either. :D

... Also, this is apparently your opportunity to add another... cushion to your seat in the handbasket.

[identity profile] norfolkdumpling.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I do massively fancy Misha Collins, so I'm right there with that one. I guess I'm just a bit terrified of the fandom - it seems so huge and apparently batshit insane. But I've been assured that you don't have to get involved in the fandom totally to appreciate the show and enjoy the squee, so we'll see...

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)

Both Callisto and An write SPN fic and I'm sure would have some good input for you on calmer corners of the fandom. I think Callisto also does recs. They both write Sam/Dean and J2 though... unless that turns out to be your thing after watching.

Mikey still runs a small SPN site I think and writes Dean/Cas.

In other words I think there are lovely people about who could point you to the nice playground with the great monkey bars if you get hooked. :D

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-04 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
It's the curiosity that's the problem, isn't it?

I held out against the SPN tide for two years, then decided to give the season 2 finale a shot, just to see if it was any good. And was sucked right into the darn show. (I accidentally sucked the Sweetie right along with me when he happened to be in the living room when I was watching a re-run of another season 2 ep. What?! It wasn't my fault. I warned him what I was doing!)

Much as I love the show, I've avoided the fandom on the grounds of its sheer immensity and possible craziness. Plus the incest/RPS factor. (I've already done both in LotR; I didn't want to go to bump myself to an even lower level of hell.) But Castiel and Misha have got me thinking seriously slashy thoughts about the show. (Cas is a one of those characters who hits me in a perfect spot and makes me lurvvvvv them.)

All of which is a long way of saying: me too!

Ooooh -- this. Please?

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, my brain is already starting to work with this. Frightening...

::claps with glee::

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
That might work. And it's a better idea than putting either Bodie or Doyle in that hat. ::shudder::

[identity profile] gblvr.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, no. Please don't do that.

[identity profile] gritsinmisery.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
That pic is crack. "The cutest boy / I ever saw / was sippin' cider / through a straw..." Yeah. Yuck. *shudders*

And I agree w/ all t'others that are begging you not to subject The Lads to that outfit.

[identity profile] sc-fossil.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Not unless Doyle's on a really baaad trip after being given LSD or something by a bad guy or a nutter. LOL! God, we're sick. I love it.

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Not even on an LSD trip would I want to see either of the lads in this. *g*

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, I'm not putting the lads anywhere near that outfit. Yuck, indeed.

[identity profile] solosundance.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not so bad... you've got a scarf in there, too. But you don't have to write exactly to the picture or even the actual clothing items if you don't want to, do you?. And even ignoring the man (and the hat!) you've got um... blue, leather, moustache and sucking all going on. Sounds like a plan to me :D Good luck!

[identity profile] przed.livejournal.com 2011-01-04 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
You're right that I need to focus on the elements, not the actual picture. But, man, I really hate that picture. A lot.

But I shall concentrate on the, um, sucking, and persevere. *g*

dude in a straw hat

[identity profile] laceymcbain.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm thinking Supernatural. The leather jacket reminds me of Dean, so maybe he's in a bar in Tijuana, trying to keep a low profile - hence the stupid hat - and he gets this ridiculous drink, which he thinks is partly antifreeze ... *G*

Just have fun with it.

Oh dear, it almost could be dorky!Dean, couldn't it? (Noooooo!)

[identity profile] norfolkdumpling.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
For some reason I'm fixating on the apple in the drink. It is an apple, right? Something about forbidden fruit? Nah. Maybe not. Ignore me...I'll just go back to my jug of blue cocktail. *g*

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)

Hmmmmm... forbidden fruit. Now there's a bunny...

[identity profile] norfolkdumpling.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hoppity hop. *cleans ears in cute manner*

[identity profile] draycevixen.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)

I don't know whether to be glad that the bunnies are hopping again... or whether to see if I can locate MG's father's shotgun. Hmmmm...

[identity profile] norfolkdumpling.livejournal.com 2011-01-03 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, y'know...if you can't beat 'em...

[identity profile] saintvic.livejournal.com 2011-01-08 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh damn that is a pain of a picture. The only thing I can think of is not putting any of your fav characters in the outfit but have them mocking someone wearing it but that is just not very helpful, sorry about that.
