Have just seen The Eagle. Yes, it is full of the awesome slash.
Also, I have a Take That icon. (Mark, being adorable! Awwww.) Uh oh.
And another also, I sort of forced the Sweetie to watch Take That's performance of Kidz at the Brits last night.
Last Night
Sweetie: What the heck was that?
Tonight
Sweetie: I've had that Take That song going through my head all day.
Heh.

My sympathies to the sweetie on the earworming... although my track record is hardly clean on the earworming front. *g*

Have you hit him with the Simon Cowell Owl thing yet?
Mark looks a lot like the Hamster in that icon.

I have to admit, I did note the resemblance to a certain Hamster icon when I picked that one. *g*

Bloody hell, youtube is still down. Bah!
Erm...
Try this link (http://www.kontraband.com/videos/12037/Owls/) and don't say I didn't warn you.

I thought you might be able to strike back at Herr Doktor Earwurm with it.
BK has the owl emerging from the Bisto can as one of her icons. Highly appropriate.

I did notice that icon of BK's and wondered what the heck it was. All is explained.

K.I.S....

Actually, I have no interest in kissing the man myself. I want to see him kiss other men. Who may or may not be called Robbie. *g*

I love their new album because it's more the kind of music I usually buy. I think Robbie's brought a lot more emphasis on lyrics to the mix which is a good thing.

I have to say, I don't think I'll ever run out and buy their early albums. They're not quite my usual run of music, and they were far too young back then for me ever to be interested in them. (My taste has ever run to older blokes.) But the new album is definitely my cup of tea. And what I've heard of the previous two--mostly Patience and Shine from Beautiful World--are also more my taste.
I can't believe I've fallen into another RPS fandom, and yet I'm not at all sad/guilty about it. *g*

Of all the RPS fandoms in all the world, the one where the protagonists make their own Brokeback Mountain AU videos is not the one to feel most guilty about *g*

Crikey, you were eleven when Let Me Entertain You came out? I was, well, a lot older than that. *g* (Okay, doing a quick calculation, I was about 33, which isn't that old.)

No kidding. God bless 'em.

I actually like a lot of Rudebox other than the song 'Rudebox' itself - She's Madonna in particular (although that had a brilliant video to drag me in too! *g*). I think one of the most satisfying things about the reunion has been that obviously they make a really good song-creating team, and yes, the lyrics have definitely taken a more interesting twist with Robbie on board (although I believe the turn towards electro, which I also like a lot, is actually largely from Gary, strangely enough). Beautiful World is definitely worth a buy - Patience, Shine, Beautiful World and Wooden Boat are all lovely *g* I would really recommend getting the concert DVDs if you can, because all of it is at it's best live and they're cracking, very slashy shows! *g*
Yeah, it was all quite formative *g* (and a little later with the rap at the end of 'Kids' (the one with him and Kylie) 'press be asking 'do i care for sodomy?'/i don't know, yeah, probably' I realised he was my hero of rhyme and also self-slashing!)
Amen to that *g*

And I've just checked out Amazon.ca and they've got the Beautiful World and Circus concerts on Blu-ray. Hmmmm, I think I've just found a use for that last fifty bucks of Christmas money.

Not to mention his duet on They Can't Take That Away from Me with Rupert Everett. (I've been meaning to vid that song since it came out.)

Can you believe I don't know that one? Clearly I need to - is it on Swing When You're Winning?
no subject
The Everett duet is indeed on Swing When You're Winning. And it's adorable. (Astoundingly, I don't have that one ripped. Clearly I need to correct that.)

I absolutely must go to sleep now (I say this to myself firmly) because it is laaaate here but I'm so pleased we crossed timezones long enough for a wee chat/crazed pimping continuance/gleefest *g* Goodnight ♥
