Aiyee! That's just perfect. I love the way you've shown Richard's fascination with Alec's dangerousness, his unpredictability. He may find Alec maddening sometimes, but he'll never find him dull, that's for sure.
I still haven't been able to get my head around what brought Richard and Alec together, and what (before the incidents of Swordspoint) kept them together, but the question is infinitely delightful to contemplate, isn't it? Thanks for a wonderful birthday gift!
