This holiday season has been busier than usual, what with visiting family, and family members visiting us, and keeping a little girl amused and in Clementine oranges. But I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone on the flist a happy and healthy new year. I hope you all accomplish what you'd like and find as much joy as possible.

Had to share this pic of our street as it looked this afternoon. We got hit by a small snowstorm today. Nothing too serious, just enough to make our neighbourhood look like a Christmas card:

We're hoping to watch Wilby Wonderful with my visiting sister-in-law this evening, but I am hoping to get a "things wot I done this year" post up later tonight. On the off chance I don't manage it, here are the links to my two final stories of the year:

Home for the Holidays was written for the [livejournal.com profile] discoveredinalj Discovered in the Brandy Butter challenge. It's another in my Comfort and Joy series, though a little darker than the rest of those tales have been.

The Starlight Affair, as was just revealed today, was my contribution to the [livejournal.com profile] muncle Down the Chimney story exchange. I drew [livejournal.com profile] renn as my recipient, and after I recovered from the crazy prompts (The Grinch?! Artificial starlight?! Sparkling wine vs. champagne?!) I wrote this little tale of April and Illya battling a rather frightening enemy.

And just for fun, here's one last picture...
...Rosalind conquering the aforementioned Clementines on New Year's Eve

RE: little snowstorm.

I'm jealous.

The entire holiday, all we got was rain. Yuck.

It looks like Rosalind is getting ready to juggle!

Happy New Years Day right back at you.

I love your snowy day. We were actually in the 40's and sunny, but the wind is =winding= again tonight. It's been howling all day. So far the electricity is holding. :-)

Take care, hon.

Hey, great jacket. (You know I would say, that, right?)

Also, great kid.

Happy New year.

What a fabulous Winter Wonderland pic., and a lovely one of Rosalind.

We have a Tropical low sitting off our coastline; has been for about a week, so gale force winds, cloudy, bits of rain, temperatures up to 28 degrees celcius. All the beaches are closed to swimmers and surfers as it is so dangerous. Sort of cyclonic weather but not a cyclone.

Hope you and your family have a fabulous New Year.

Rosalind looks very happy with herself ... look at what I've got :)

You could make your own personal Christmas Card with your street picture ... we are very humid here ... thanks for cooling me down.

Happy New Year.

Am very envious of all the snow.. don't care how wet and hard to shovel it was, it looks bee-yoo-tiful.

And go Rosalind with the juggling there!!

Oh, and before I forget, Happy New Year!!

Yay! Rosalind! Happy times, aren't they?
We have my parents staying with us for two weeks, and I find that the sweetest thing is to just have other people to watch Lew with, to be able to look over into their eyes and share that love, that pure happiness of seeing these gorgeous little ones and the things they do... I know that you know what I'm talking about!

I bet someone as talented as you could make a fantastic Christmas card for next year from that photo :D

And awwww - isn't Rosalind cute? My kids love clementines and it's nigh on impossible keeping them in sufficient quantities - every time I go shopping, I have to buy some more *g*

Happy New Year!

Enjoy that snow. It stayed down your way and never made it this far north. Thankfully.

All that melting snow should be interesting with the +15C weather you guys are going to get next week.

Sorry we didn't get a chance to get together over the holidays.

How I can possibly admire a photo of (yet more) snow, I don't know, but that is gorgeous. And how great is it that Rosalind likes Clementines? Of course, they are just her size, aren't they?

Happy new year to you and your family!
