So, it seems a couple of my stories have been nominated for some awards. Which is nifty. LotR stories, which is even niftier since it's a fandom I still love, even if I haven't exactly been active in it of late.
Anyway, the first one nominated was Chance Encounter, which is up for a Middle Earth Fanfiction Award in the Races: Men: Steward's Family category. See, here's a banner to prove it.

(Okay, I admit it. My primary reason for doing this post is so I can put up this banner. Because my god, how can I not resist angst and Boromir.)
There are a ton of lovely stories nominated, so those who are so inclined should definitely go vote on something.
The second one nominated was Of Memory and Dream, which is up in the Aragorn/Boromir Short Fiction category in the
mome_awards.
The MOME ballot can be found here, and as with the MEFAs, there are a ton of stellar stories to be voted on.
A big thank you to anyone who nominated my stuff, and a big "Wow" to those who run the awards, 'cause I can't even imagine how much work you put into them. I'm hoping I'll have some time to read some new stories, revisit some old favourites and vote a bit myself. (I've definitely been missing Aragorn and Boromir of late, though given recent events I'm not quite sure I'm willing to put myself through Boromir dying again right this moment.)
