Small press publisher Vera Nazarian is in danger of losing her house, a terrible thing to happen to anyone, and more terrible since she's also dealing with elder care and personal health issues. I don't know Vera personally, but her press is set to put out Lace and Blade 2, my first professional publishing credit.

A community has been set up to allow both donations and a charity auction here. I've made a donation and hope some of you might be able to as well.

I've honestly no idea. I have to imagine that saving her house is occupying most of her time at the moment. And rightly so.

Absolutely, no question - but the fellow writer in me is all ready to be disappointed on your behalf if this delays the publication. I sincerely hope it works out for all concerned.

Thanks for the news, I hope things work out for her and ultimately for you and the publication. It would be a shame to be so close and yet so far from being published.
