Karl Urban is what really put me over the top on it. He's awesome. (Still need a McCoy icon.)
Chekov was old enough not to set off Wesley alarms for me. And his bounciness was adorable. And I knew guys like that in undergrad. (I was in specialist astrophysics for three years.) And I lurved him.
Pine was an unexpected awesome surprise. I quite liked Quinto. And yeah, Pegg should have been in way more of it.
Surprisingly, given the three years of specialist astrophysics thing, I can ignore bad movie physics. And I appreciated the fact that they pretended they were doing these ridiculous things using equations and calculations and stuff. I take more issue with the bad cinematography and editing in the action scenes. But then that's what I really care about.
As for Eric Bana, I generally quite like him, but for all that he's the big bad villain, I thought he didn't have nearly enough to do.
