Fun with Books
Jul. 13th, 2007 11:58 pmSo the baby's managed to pull most of the books on my R and S shelf onto the floor and me and the Sweetie are putting them back. He picks up my copy of Kenilworth by Sir Walter Scott.
Sweetie: So Scott, what's he famous for?
Me: I suppose his best known book is Ivanhoe.
Sweetie: Ivanhoe? I thought that was Russian.
Me: What?!
Sweetie: Yeah, I thought it was about a farmer named Ivan. Ivan? Hoe?
Me: O_O
Yeah, he was serious. But I don't hold it against him. He's a computer programmer. (Actually a rather well read computer programmer. Just not when it comes to anything before the 20th century. Or involving English history.)
