A Lovely Birthday
Dec. 17th, 2009 09:26 pmIn spite of the upheaval of the last few weeks, I've had a rather nice birthday.
I slept in a bit (7 a.m.! Heaven!), took Ros into daycare, and then futzed around with various things.
After taking my resume to Staples to print, I picked up Ros a bit early, took her to the Sweetie's work for a visit, and then we went to my favourite Tibetan restaurant for a lovely birthday meal. The evening finished up at home with the traditional white chocolate mousse cake (it's the cake we had for our wedding, and it's awesome), and gifties. Ros picked out a nifty rocket lapel pin from an artist we're friends with, and the Sweetie got me the latest Robbie Williams album and Supernatural Season 4. (That Castiel vid I want to make should be on the plate soon.)
Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes; you're the best! I'll try and respond to everyone individually as soon as I can.
And now it's off to prep for my very first interview tomorrow. I made it through a phone screening on Tuesday, so now it's a face to face with HR and the senior manager. I haven't done an interview in a ridiculously long period of time. This should be interesting...
