Yuletide! and Other Christmas-y Stuff
Dec. 25th, 2017 08:34 pmChristmas and Yuletide are here, and I've gotten a lovely story for the Chris Evans movie, What's Your Number
Confidence Man (6368 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: What's Your Number? (2011)
Rating: Mature
Relationships: Ally Darling/Colin Shea
Characters: Colin Shea, Ally Darling
Additional Tags: Post-Canon
Summary: Colin Shea is a fucking gift. Or: five times Colin reminds Ally how awesome she is just by being himself, and one time Ally reminds Colin that that's exactly what love is.
This story manages to be both funny and sweet and proves just how perfect Colin and Ally are for each other. If you've ever seen the movie, you should totally read this story!
I also wrote a story for this year's SteveBucky Secret Santa. It's a cabin fic! And a sharing a bed fic! And a sharing warmth fic! And it somehow ended up being over 11K words.
A Goddamn Winter Wonderland (11122 words) by PR Zed
Fandom: Captain America (Movies), Captain America - All Media Types
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers
Characters: James "Bucky" Barnes, Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson (Marvel)
Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, Alternate Universe - Modern: No Powers, Artist Steve Rogers, Cabin Fic, Snowed In, Sharing a Bed, Sharing Body Heat, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson Friendship
Summary: Steve really shouldn't have even attempted the drive. Not with a major snowstorm on the way. Not when his thirteen-year-old car had broken down three times this month and his snow tires should have been replaced two years ago. But when he'd moved to Buffalo, he'd promised his mom he'd make it back to New York for Christmas at least.
Driving home for the holidays, Steve runs into a blizzard and another stranded traveller. But what starts off as a good deed could end up being so much more.
Otherwise, Christmas has been pleasantly uneventful. I think I managed to cook my best turkey thus far, the Sweetie got me the gigantic (no, seriously GIGANTIC) Captain America Omnibus of all of Mark Waid's Cap stories, and Ros has been demolishing all of the graphic novels we got here. (Ros hasn't ever been much of a reader, but she's getting into graphic novels, so Yay!)
Hope all of you who celebrate it are having a lovely Christmas, and that the rest of you are having an equally pleasant 25th of December!
