The Writerly Death March Is On

I'm edging ever closer to finishing the Pros Big Bang story. Look!



Five scenes to go, and it's done! Three of those are the climax, and the other two are denouement/sex scenes. This, in theory, is going to be the fun part to write, the emotional centre the rest of it has been building to.

Of course, in practice, I have two days to produce 5,000 words before we leave on an eight day family vacation to points north where there will be limited writing time.

But between nap times, and Ros' early bed time, I'm hoping I can finish those last few scenes and then get started on the re-writes. And man, is it going to need some re-writes. (I usually polish as I go, but I'm not letting myself go back and check anything. Not until I have a complete first draft.)

Fingers crossed...

I'm hoping Ros naps. We're rapidly losing the naps, but she still needs 'em if she's had a big day. She should have lots of big days on vacation, right? *g*

As for the story, I'm so close, I can taste it. I just hope I don't get to the end and decides it's all crap.
