I think one of the pleasures of fanfic is getting inside the heads of very different characters. And multi-fandom certainly takes you in all sorts of different directions, which I think is all to the good. I love Pros but it's by no means my only fandom. I write/have written in about 15 and read in more than that. To be totally honest, my favourites for reading are Bandom (general, and including e.g. Take That) and Harry Potter. Until recently I'd written more in Spooks than anything. I've got sort of hooked into Pros writing but I will probably drift off elsewhere between fics. I find Bandom characters fascinating - emotions all over the place, as you say, and real characters, too. My absolute favourites are the long AUs that a few writers treat us to - sci fi, fantasy, etc, with the musicians as the 'cast'. Anyway, love the stories, love the boys and love your writing!
