Just had to highlight two things here: (The mom who took over was actually happy we lost because the other team was one of the ones that doesn't have many wins. So I say good for them.) And: So amazing our parents were actually cheering when she stopped a goal. That's really impressive and quite cheering, because over here, I have the impression that one of the perils of youth football here is that the parents take it all too seriously, and abuse both other parents and the referee. And, occasionally, their own kids, for not doing well enough. Yours sounds substantially saner!
