I had my regular acupuncture appointment last night, so I stayed up late to watch the Wisconsin v. Duke game so I wouldn't be spoiled today on the outcome.

I was really hoping the Badgers could pull it off. Not only because they're my team, but because I don't think Duke needs yet another NCAA title. Alas, though it was a really good game and the Badgers led by as much as 9 points in the second half, they sort of fell apart at the end and Duke took the title.

In other news, after five weeks off, I'm going back to Taekwando class tonight. I haven't mentioned it, but remember that surprise angiogram I had that flattened me for a few days? Well, I ended up getting a hematoma at the incision site. (For those of you who are lucky enough never to have had one, that's a big swelling of built up blood.) It was surprisingly painful, and since it basically meant the major artery they'd used for the angiogram was, in the words of a nurse I work with, "leaky" I didn't think throwing a bunch of roundhouse kicks was going to be the best thing in the world for it.

There is still a tiny bit of swelling, but at least I'm not limping around anymore and by this point I gotta figure the leakiness is fixed. Fingers crossed.

Alas, poor Badgers. Mind you, it confirms exactly what I've always thought about basketball: don't watch anything until the last five minutes. It always seems to come down to the last five minutes....

Yay for a return to class! Ouch for the reason why you've been out, but I'm so glad it is resolving and you'll be able to get back to doing what you love to do. *Fingers crossed*

You can definitely stick to watching the last five minutes of a basketball game and get everything you need. Though since I lurvvvv basketball, I like watching the whole game and then some. ;-)

The Tuesday night class is one of the hardest ones, so we'll see how I survive.

Crikey! Sorry to hear you've been in the wars, and a leaky major artery sounds pretty worrying to me! Very glad it's fixed up and you can go back to your roundhouse kicks - you never know when you might need one... *g*

The former ER nurse I spoke to when the swelling appeared was pretty nonchalant when she called it leaky, so I wasn't too worried. But I did think doing martial arts with a leaky artery was possibly not a smart thing to do. *g*

Heh, although I still don't know what sport the badgers you speak of play, I did notice that they lost (on a twitter feed I look up because it talks mostly about tennis) and extended telepathic sympathy to you *hugs* *g* Sports, eh?

I'm sorry you had to suffer a haematoma. I'd be confident the artery is fine now, but the last thing you needed was any more trauma to the area, it would have hurt like hell apart from anything. I'm just generally hoping, on many levels, that you never need an angiogram again... *hugs some more*

Ouch. That doesn't sound like fun. I hope the class goes well tonight.

The Badgers plays basketball. (I made a huge cultural assumption that everyone would know March Madness means basketball. Which isn't even true in Canada. *g*) In spite of being wee, basketball has always been my favourite team sport.

Thanks for the telepathic sympathy. Sports. Hmmph. (This is why I only follow basketball for the limited time period of March Madness. I used to follow the Boston Celtics in the NBA, which meant pretty much every Sunday afternoon was spent watching a game. That's so not even possible anymore.) BTW, I've got my fingers crossed Mr. Murray does well at Wimbledon this year. That'll be my tennis allotment for the year. *g*

It wasn't fun at all, though at least it was mostly annoying and a bit painful rather than debilitating. I'm still holding out for that robot replacement body.

Oh yuk, the haematoma doesn't sound good at all! I am with you on the relief when the leak closes up. My leaky scar did in the end, too, and oh, the relief!

Now I have misread your tag as 'bandages' instead of 'badgers'. Oh dear!

Enjoy the Taekwando!

I've never been able to shake the feeling, having been at the kind of school where the only sport we ever played was netball (with occasional rounders) that basketball is netball but with cheating... But that also means I understand the fun of it *g*

And thanks for your good wishes to Mr Murray *g* He's having a better 2015 than 2014, goodness knows, but I'd still like to see him recapture some of the, you know, winning stuff thing.

I've always wondered what netball was so I've just gone and looked at some netball sites. Hmmm, like basketball but without a backboard. That's challenging!

Let's hear it for Andy winning stuff this year!

I'm sure your leaky scar was far more serious than my haematoma. It was more on the annoying end of the spectrum. I'm so glad your closed up!

I honestly hope I never have need of a "bandages" tag. *g*

I missed TKD last night due to the Adoption Day festivities, but I'm planning on going either tonight or tomorrow morning. Yay!

Nah, seriously, leaky scar was just irritating - it leaked, that's all. It didn't hurt, which is much more important!

Bandages, heh, perhaps for h/c fic? Or zombie TT? Neither seem beyond the bounds of possibility. *eyes back catalogue*...

Okay, if your talking h/c fic, I could totally use a bandages tag. *g*
