I missed the 90s. Pity. (Think "Pity" in terms of the old Red Rose tea commercial. Like it's NBD but I'm way too Canadian to say that.) To me, music in the 90s was Sarah McLaughlin (and that's a lot about Due South) and Seal. (And now we have Jack Soul so Seal's redundant anyway, right?)
So I was there for the first British Invasion (that didn't involve actual battles) which was like the Beatles and Herman's Hermits, etc. Then I was there for the attempted new "British Invasion" in the 80s which involved Duran Duran and other techno bands, but I pretty much missed the most recent one in the 90s. Didn't know there'd been one until I heard the ad for this movie yesterday. Like, dude, I knew who Oasis was, just not where they were from. (Didn't much care.) Kinda had vague notions they were all from Seattle, really.
Oh well. Now I know. Should I bother to see the movie? Wanna see it again? What is our next outing anyway? My backyard's officially open for business this weekend. ~ S.
