Somehow Secret Journey has slowly crept its way up toward the top of my Police songs list through the years. It's a wonderful song that I think I love more every time I listen to it.

I *love* your musical selections!
I am a slow starter - only recently discovered the Hidden Cameras - but I'm very very glad that I did. Getting started on the path from slash to music under the slash influence.

I just did a Police Top Ten for a music list I'm on and was surprised how high Secret Journey had crept up over the years. Some day I will vid that song.

I caught on early to the Cameras by virtue of the fact that I live in their hometown and I have a husband who's way ahead of the curve on music and is always keeping an ear out for stuff he thinks I'll like. ("Honey, there's this band that does gay church music. You'll love them.") We were lucky enough to see them last summer and they're so fab live.

So, are you going to post your musical choices?

Mississauga? My ears pricked up when I read that they were based there, because for years I've dreamt of Mississauga - La Femme Nikita's home... I love coincidences like this.

Or perhaps not so coincidental? Talent and creativity seem fairly mainstream around there! And you've seen them perform live :dies: Was it a church show? I'm so curious - it sounds amazing.

Will think about my choices. :)

Actually I'm in Toronto. I didn't realize the Cameras were from Mississauga originally. They've been based here for a while.

for years I've dreamt of Mississauga - La Femme Nikita's home

Nikita's from Mississauga? That's kinda funny. Mississauga is a relatively new, pretty much entirely suburban city and not generally considered romantic.

And yeah, it was a church show, at Trinity St. Paul, a big downtown church that hosts a lot of concerts. As a bonus, Daniel McIvor, a local queer actor and playwright, was selling the tickets at the door.
