This story is really powerfull- I read it yesterday and kept thinking all through today that I still had to write a feedback. While I can´t say I liked reading it (that would be masochistic...), I´m very impressed.
You bare Bodie´s character completely through Ray´s death. And it hurts to imaine him like this : It had to end soon, that was certain. Cowley wouldn't put up with him forever. And Bodie was getting tired. Tired of the fruitless search for the bastard who'd done Ray, tired of fighting his own nature. Tired of breathing, when it came to that. He´s vulnerable and yet still so very much Bodie: as cool as ice. I like how you offered an outside perspective on him and how his supposed strength turned into his main weakness. Just wow.
