Spent the whole day getting the first coat of paint on our bedroom. It's yellow. Very, very yellow.

Sweetie: Wow, this is yellow.
Me: Yep, it certainly is.

I'm sure it won't be quite so overwhelming once we get the furniture back in the room and our art on the walls, but for now, it's very yellow.

Tonight, we're going to try and get in to see Everybody Stares, the documentary about 80's band The Police that's playing as part of the N X NE fest here. (They're not selling advance tickets, so I'm going to drag the Sweetie down extra early to stand in line.)

Stewart Copeland (the band's drummer and the guy who made the doc) is supposed to be at the screening, so I'm especially looking forward to seeing it. I saw The Police back in '83 when I was in high school and they were one of my absolute fave bands of the time.

Fingers crossed that we get in.

As a humongous Stewart-pimp, I will say that the documentary is awesome - I saw it earlier this year and can't wait for the dvd release this fall when there's supposed to be even more goodies to be seen. Any and all Police fans are sure to love it and *squee* at some of the moments revealed.

Of course, all the scenes of Ian are just going to make me cry like a baby when I see it again now...

Thanks for your thoughts (and hi, BTW ::waves::)! I'll have to see if this film makes its way to San Francisco.
