Le Weekend

Have had a fun and pretty darn productive, very long weekend. (My weekend started on Thursday afternoon, courtesy of my company, which gave all of us celebrating anniversary years, 10 years for me, an extra day and a half off.)
I have:
Finished, encoded and uploaded my VVC premiere vid
Oiled a bench and two chairs for our back garden
Finished painting the closet in the future kid's room
Made many trips to Home Depot
Seen Rois et reine, a rather good French film at Cinematheque
Watched three episodes of Veronica Mars (maybe we'll finish season 1 before season 2 comes out)
Today, to end out the weekend, we went with a bunch of friends to see Krrish, a Hindi superhero film. The theatre was packed with a crowd that included fussy babies, and the film was totally enjoyable. It's very much Superman for the Bollywood crowd, but with musical numbers (check out the Dil Na Diya trailer on the website) and Hong Kong choreographed fight scenes.
We followed up with dinner at Congee King, one of my fave local hole in the wall Chinese restaurants where seafood congee and jah leung (rice noodle-wrapped dough fritters, yum) were consumed by all.
I'm almost rejuvenated enough to go back to work. Almost.

Date: 2006-07-04 02:42 am (UTC)Hey, that movie Krrish is playing out near me at the AMC theatre. I was looking up show times for other movies this week and noticed the name. I assumed by the name it was Hindi or some such.
I think I will be taking a lot of time off this week to make up for my missed weekend.
Good luck with the rest of your projects.

Date: 2006-07-04 10:39 am (UTC)I'm sure I used to be able to do more in a day than I seem to manage now, but... for the life of me I can't remember how!
And I know it's puerile and stoopid, and I know that WC is a con (I think I do) but whenever I see it abbreviated like that... I just gotta giggle
