Sure Bodie and Doyle are gorgeous men, but let's take a look at when they're really gorgeous, shall we?
For my money, Doyle never looked better than he did in Fugitive. First, there's the pan across the prison yard to reveal him lounging against the fence...

Then later, in the interrogation room we get this vision. I reckon this picture is single-handedly responsible for all those stories where Doyle is described as looking like a Botticelli angel. Because he totally does.

On the other hand, I rather like Bodie when he's a bit on the scruffy side. And he was never scruffier than he got in Takeaway.

I know it's wrong, but there's nothing hotter looking than a guy smoking a cigarette. If he knows what to do with it. And Bodie so does.

That hint of barely leashed violence he can so easily convey doesn't go amiss either.

And just for fun, and to make it equitable, one shot of Doyle looking a bit scruffy from It's Only a Beautiful Picture.

Date: 2007-03-30 02:59 pm (UTC)I was reading through some of the other comments, and it seems like some folks like MS with the looser, wavier hair of later episodes. For me, I love him in Runner or In the Public Interest or Man Without a Past. My archetypal Ray Doyle is scruffy; has his shirt open a couple buttons more than the average bloke; is wearing jeans a size too small, boots and a leather jacket; perhaps a discreet chain or two and has a mass of curly hair (but not the poodle do from Fall Girl).
I'm a girl who knows what I like. ;-)

I do like the looser hair, I have to admit, but in Man Without a Past he's also sheer perfection. I could watch the scene in the hospital parking lot an infinite number of times and never get sick of it. I think your achetypal Doyle is very close to mine, especially with the buttons open on his shirt. Great minds, huh?
