I'm reading about everyone getting ready for the MediaWest con and feeling jealous. This will be the first MW I've missed since 1996. That's ten straight years of attendance. Not a bad run. And at least my vids are going if I can't. (The fabulous m. butterfly kindly offered to do my volunteer time for the vid show, so I'm sending my last two vids, one Pros, one Life on Mars.)

At least I've got a fabulous reason for not going.
Looking after Rosalind is taking all my time. She may look innocent here, but she's a definite handful. In the cutest way possible.



In the meantime, to everyone on the flist who's on their way, have a great time. And attend a panel/watch a vid show/go out for dinner with fans/hang out in the HIS lobby/buy a bucketload of zines for me, would ya.

Things are going pretty well, if exhausting. We're definitely happy. We don't think we could have gotten a more perfect child for our family. (She's totally a thinking baby.)

Assuming her Canadian passport comes through by then (it could take anywhere from 3 to 18 months for her Canadian citizenship to come through) I should be able to bring her next year.

You'll have to say hi to everyone at the UNCLE party for me. Not to mention at the Ponderosa. (I can't believe I'll miss the Ponderosa get together. Sigh.)

I know I've said it before but Rosalind is one beautiful little girl. She's going to be a stunner when she grows up. And yes, they do take *all* your time to look after. We have our 7 month old grandson two days a week and on those days we're knackered come the end of the day.

Well, she's getting quite squirmy, so most pictures of her at the moment are either her looking down at a toy or wriggling out of the frame. She's still cute as a button, though.
