MediaWest, Yay!

I'm just putting together a few last things, and then I'll be on the road for lovely Lansing, Michigan and MediaWest. I'm so looking forward to it, even though I know I'll also be missing a certain big Sweetie and little girl.

Lovable and adorable as the Sweetie and the little girl are, the very best thing in the word for you is time off on your own, with your own friends, and enjoying your own hobbies and interests. So savor it! And make sure to set aside time for it every single year. It will be so worthwhile.

We both know too many people that have let their own interests wither and devoted all their time to their children, and are then completely at sea when their kids leave home. That's definitely not going to be us. We make sure we each get an evening out each week, and let each other have time for longer commitments like cons (me) or comics festivals (the Sweetie).
