Soccer Night: Game One!
May. 21st, 2013 09:53 pmTonight was the kick off of the soccer season. It looks like we've got a good bunch of kids, and the parents are nice as well.
The weather, on the other hand, was a bit on the dodgy side. It rained through most of the game, though on the positive side, it wasn't bucketing down, and it wasn't too cold. And hey, it's not a soccer season if you haven't had a game in the rain.
The score was 3 - 2 for the other side, which is fine because our kids kept it close and they all had a good time. Well, except for Ros, when she got stomped on the top of her foot with a cleat. That required some serious hug therapy.
In other non-footie news, Ros has informed me that she wants to audition for her school talent show by singing Wooden Boat. She's going to confuse the heck out of her classmates, but I'm a proud mum. ( Guitar-playing Jason approves )
