Vid Farr, Yay!

I've actually managed to finish two minutes of a new Holmes vid. I have just about a minute and a half to go. This is the fastest I've managed to vid in eons, which is cause for great celebration.

It helps that I'm only working with a single movie, not 57 episodes of a certain TV show.

Of course, I'm going to ignore the fact that I'm still trying to settle on a story for the Pros Big Bang. No pressure there, nope. :-/

Yay for Vid Farr, indeed! Can't wait to see it.

I'm big banging (so to speak), while at the same time having come up with my next SPN vid. It's going to be set to Cheap Trick's Surrender. I'm thinking there might be a cracky salute to Mary and John Winchester buried in those lyrics (about WACs in the Philippines). At least that's what I'm telling myself.

'Course, with everything I've got on my plate, I don't see my getting to it till the summer. But it's good to have a plan.

What song are you using for Holmes?

And when do you start work?

Shall look forward to your cracky vid. I might be asking you for a Holmes beta sometime soon. (I'm using Depeche Mode's Halo. It's draycevixen's fault. She suggested Personal Jesus, which led me to Suffer Well, which was sitting beside Halo in my iTunes playlist.)

I start work on Monday. I'm trying to see how many of those projects I haven't had time for in the last three months--two years worth of tax forms, organizing my office space, writing fic, vidding--I can complete in the next six days. Aaaaaiiiieeeeee!

Yeah, one of the sharp eyed fen over at HW09 spotted that Watson runs his hand down Holmes' calf for support as he goes down the stairs. Don't you just admire the devotion to research. *g*

*bailing out water as fast as she can go* Yeah, such a sound boat. Now all we need is a little plot to seal up the holes.

I saw that post about the calf touch. I went and checked it myself (data, data, data, I must have data) and the touch is exactly 3 frames long. That's 1/10 of a second. Ah, the dedication of fangirls.

Plot. I think I have a surfeit of plot. And I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Can you imagine the potential energy that could be harnessed by re-directing all of that dedication? On second thoughts, let's not, I like it right where it is. *g*

Oh and, snap, that's my problem. I basically have plots for what should probably be three different stories but I my strange little brain wants to try to squish them all in to the same story.

It's done! Well, a first draft, anyway. Now I've got to double-check the timing, add a few effects, and colour correct the living fuck out of it.

With luck, it'll be up by the weekend.
