przedI start the new job tomorrow! Yikes! (Must lay out the first day outfit tonight, since I'm sure tomorrow will be hectic, what with putting Ros back on a firm schedule for the first time in three months.)
I almost started the new job with a black eye. I took Ros skating last night, and was going backwards holding her hands. She started with the "faster, Mommy" thing. I obliged. Then she went down, pulled me with her, and my right cheek was the first thing to make contact with the ice. The next thing I know, the rink guards are hovering around me, making sure I'm okay. (They thought I'd gone down on Ros' skate blades. Thank goodness they were wrong, though it was a near thing.) Thankfully, the expected bruise has not yet materialized.
The Holmes vid is done and encoded, but I'm holding off on posting for a day until I see if I win a copyright dispute with YouTube. (Wouldn't ya know it. I decide to enter the 21st century, abandon the password-protected vid site, and I get hit with a copyright notice. Jeez.)

Date: 2010-03-15 02:22 am (UTC)I'm very glad the ice rink escapade didn't turn out worse. (For the first few seconds, I was fearful I'd given myself a concussion.)
And I've also got my fingers crossed for the youtube resolution. But I've got a back up if it doesn't happen, so it's not the end of the world.
