So, why has no one mentioned how awesome Community is?

The Sweetie suggested we give it a shot a few weeks ago when they were running a marathon, and it took about half an episode to hook us both. It's funny, and smart and trades on pop culture references-o-rama.

Plus, the nominal lead guy is charming, sarcastic, and more than a bit of a jerk, just the way I like 'em. Plus, he looks like this:


I mean, just LOOK AT HIM! All stubbly and wry and smiley.

Tonight we finally caught the Modern Warfare episode, which spoofs every action film I've ever seen and a few I haven't. I haven't laughed that hard in eons.

When it was over, the Sweetie turned to me.

Sweetie: So, you're buying the DVD, right?
Me: Oh. Yeah.
Sweetie: Thought so.

Also, he has some talk show called The Soup? *shrugs*

Trivia, I recently saw the US Pilot for The It Crowd, and they HADN'T CHANGED THE SCRIPT. Joel McHale played Roy, and the same actor from the English version played Moss. No idea if it's getting made though.

Apparently. I'm totally behind the curve, but enjoying the very late ride. (Hey, it took me two years to realize Supernatural was any good. Sometimes I'm slow.)

According to the IMDB, that pilot was made 3 or 4 years ago. Apparently it's a dead duck.
