It's been a lovely, if hectic birthday. Which started off in the best way ever when the first thing Ros did upon waking up was to come and wish me happy birthday. Really, you can't get better than that. Everything else was icing on the cake.

The icing included:

My work team's holiday lunch at one of the swankest restaurants in Toronto which turned into a 2 1/2 hour long extravaganza of lovely food

Pressies and cake with the Sweetie and Ros

And an adult night out to see Tron: Legacy.

(The film is visually stunning and has a groovy Daft Punk soundtrack, but could have used a little...okay, a lot more character development. But it was still a groovy time.)

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. It definitely means a lot.

Just for fun, here's a pic of me, Ros and the birthday cake. (It's our usual birthday cake: white chocalate mousse from Daniel et Daniel, and it is awesome yummy good. If you squint, you can make out my age. How did I get to be that old?!)

The cake is quite as good as it looks. As for the family, well, I know I love 'em.
