Well, That's Interesting
Feb. 15th, 2011 09:51 pmI got an email and follow up phone call from my alma mater today.
Seems they're doing a Oscar Party/Broadcast as part of their 175th anniversary. It's a fundraising kind of thing in their 500 seat theatre.
They want me to moderate a film panel as part of the festivities.
Given it's less than two weeks before the big event, and I'm no longer either a film academic or in the film industry, I'm betting they tried for some bigger guns and couldn't get them, and I'm the hail Mary desperation pass. But it's still kinda cool.
So, whaddaya think flist? Should I do it?

Date: 2011-02-17 02:52 am (UTC)There won't really be many of the old friends, though, unless I can talk them into coming. It's my college in the university that asked me to do this (U of T works on the Oxbridge college system), but I took all my courses and made all my friends in different colleges or departments. Ah, bien.
