That Was Inevitable

Yesterday Ros was sick. Today it was me.

Fortunately, I was not as spectacularly sick as she was, just generally icky, achey, and chilled, but it was enough. Add in that we had to keep Ros home from daycare, even though she was mostly fine, bordering on giddy, and it was...interesting.

Fortunately, the Sweetie worked from home so he could spell me off when my energy flagged. Unfortunately, Ros could not be convinced to take a nap. I totally did.

And I have to say, my one stroke of genius was offering to do her nails, finger and toe. Kept her occupied for an hour, and while we were waiting for the polish to dry, she couldn't do much but sit and listen to me read.

We also watched the Oscar Red Carpet show over lunch so she could show me her favourite dress. Which turned out to be Hailee Steinfeld's. She may only be four, but the kid has pretty good taste.

Oh, I'm so sorry you got sick! Ros is adorable, though. She'll bounce back fast, and you, poor thing, will long for naps for days, if you're anything like me! LOL!

Ros bounced back yesterday. I'm actually mostly okay now. But I'm still going to wait at least another 48 hours to declare myself complete free of the ick.

We're both pretty much back to normal. And I hope we stay that way. (I did, however, cancel my regular acupuncture appointment tonight. Throwing up with needles stuck in me wasn't something I wanted to contemplate.)

I'm pretty much feeling okay. Thanks for the well wishes.

And trust me, Ros would like nothing better than to give me a mani-pedi. I let her do one of my thumbnails every time I do her nails (currently, my right thumb is a nice sparkly purple) but her aim is dodgy enough that I fear letting her do more than one thumb. There would be nail polish all over the floor and all over my hand.

I am on the lookout for a spa that does kids, though. I think she'd get a kick out of it.
