I seem to somehow be living in a country that has just elected a Conservative majority.

What the hell, people? I mean, just what the hell? The Conservatives lying, being in contempt of Parliament, not allowing anyone but the party faithful from attending rallies, and just generally doing heinous thing after heinous thing wasn't enough proof that their unworthy of holding seats, let alone ruling the bloody country?

At least my riding, and most of downtown Toronto, went firmly NDP.

I shall be spending the next four years with my head down.

That was my reaction, too. WTF, electorate? You didn't pay attention to anything this man said or did in the past four years?

I also live in an orange crush riding, so I'm used our guy being in the opposition. I just hope they can find enough moderates in the Conservative party to rein in the nut-jobs.

Harper certainly produced enough rope to hang himself (oh, if only...) but it's like no one was paying attention. ::headdesk::

I'm almost hoping the nut jobs go nuts for a while, and totally alienate everyone before the next election.
