TIFF 2011, Interstitial Report

przedIt's been wonderfully sunny, and I've had a fabulous time hanging out with Ros during the day and seeing movies all night.
It's far too late, so no reviews tonight, but I thought I'd share some of the film related awesomeness of the evening.
When entering the theatre to see Morgan Spurlock's ComicCon documentary, the very, very, very long staircase up to the screening rooms was lined not just by what looked like every cos-player in Toronto, but a whole phalanx of stormtroopers. (Time number one when I wished I'd brought my camera.)
After seeing the Norwegian thriller he was in, I got this close to Nichlaj Coster-Waldau. In person he is one tall, strapping, handsome man, exactly as I'd expect. (Time number two when I wished I'd had my camera.) Also the closing credits of the movie was lovely, and done by Weathervane, the band of Pal Waakter-Savoy, formerly of a-ha. Shall have to check out more of their stuff.
