What Have I Done?

So, I've been MIA most of this week, due to being taken down by a horrid cold, doing the ensuing catch up at work, starting a professional course online, and...doing the planning for a Disneyworld vacation.

I have just got off the phone with Disney. I've booked the rooms for us and the other family we're travelling with. And there's still flights to book, and character meals to plan, and park tickets to buy...

Oh. My. God.

I'm sure it'll be fun, and Ros and her friend will LOVE IT, but it's not quite the long weekend in New York City I'd originally envisioned for our family vacation this year.

In other, more fannish news, the lovely halotolerant has provided me with some prime '90s Take That footage for vidding, and literally the first thing I saw when I opened the file was this:


Oh, boys. Clearly, the universe is aware of my OT3 proclivities and decided to throw me a bone. ::sigh::

It'll be fun. And I'm totally dragging everyone over to the Hollywood Studios park and the replica of the MGM backlot, just so I can check out Delfloria's entrance from UNCLE. I'm crazy that way. ;-)

Disney may be the Evil Empire, but I know they do the vacation thing well. And I'm sure Ros'll have a blast. We've been keeping it under wraps in case it fell through, but now I'm looking forward to telling her tomorrow.

I'm sure Disney will be fine, but there are some lovely little girl type things I'd love to do with Ros in NYC while she's this age. Though you're right that once she's older that opens up even more.

Well, assuming next year is a TT tour year, I'll be heading over in your direction. And I've been informed by the Sweetie that he and Ros will be joining me. For the trip, though likely not the concert.

There year after that, though, we're totally doing New York.

You're talking to someone who saw a-ha's final tour three times in three different countries, so, ya know, I think we're in the same ballpark of "sensible." That said, I think that pesky Atlantic ocean and my limited amount of vacation will likely restrict the number of times I see any show But it will be a number greater than one!

I would *love* to see a show with you *g* (You can join Kay's chorus of 'Stop bouncing now! Think of your legs! Only one verse of bouncing!' - she looks after me *g*) And, of course, I fully intend to be hard to miss on the TT circuit!

They do obligingly do these stadium tours where they settle at one place for several nights in a row, which is handy and doubly handy for hotels etc

I have to say, last year, when I was trying to come up with some way of getting over for the Progress tour, I kept wondering if I could physically handle floor tickets, and then thinking "Well, Halo can do it!" But yes, you must think of your legs! It's a good thing Kay looks after you. *g*

Wow, had no ideas you guys were planning on Disneyworld this year.

The way your significant other spoke, he barely had vacation time to go to Chicago.

It sort of happened by accident. Our friends mentioned they were thinking of going and did we want to go with them. And now, we're booked!

Vacation time is going to be tight for us both, especially me, since I've only got 3 weeks now, but it's all getting eaten by things like trips to the Sault and the film fest.

We'll definitely report back. It is, I have to say, more work than I'd like to put into a Disney trip. I don't do this much planning when I go to Europe FFS.
